Please be aware that state law generally prohibits counselors from providing services in states in which they are not licensed. If you have moved out of the area you may not be able to continue your regular counseling sessions via telehealth. We do have some other resources to offer you, however, so keep reading! Also, as I am writing this, a bill has been introduced to Congress to lift this restriction for 6 months specifically for providers working in higher education. We will keep you informed about this.
Trinity Counseling Center and many of our SHBP providers are now using virtual platforms to conduct therapy sessions. The Seminary has expanded your coverage to ensure that telehealth sessions are covered by the SHBP and your Comprehensive Fee.
If you are in the SHBP and have located out of state you can choose to contact an out-of-network provider.
Our on-campus counselors have moved their sessions to the Seminary’s HIPAA-compliant platform, Webex. Ongoing clients who are remaining in New Jersey or Pennsylvania will be contacted by their counselor to make arrangements to counseling continue sessions. If you have not heard from your counselor, please feel free to reach out to them.
As Mike Livio announced earlier, all full-time students are now able to use the services of Teladoc Health. See the Teladoc Behavioral Health brochure below.
