Positive psychology, also known as the science of happiness, started 10 years ago when psychologists said, “We know a lot about how to fix what’s wrong with people, but how do we build what’s right with people?” This 2-part lecture (January 12 & 19, 2010 at PTS) included cutting edge findings about the science of gratitude, forgiveness, hope, strengths, resilience, optimism and more. Zhivotovskaya completed her Masters in Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in a program developed by Martin Seligman, founder of Positive Psychology and past director of the American Psychological Association.
