This confidential, educational support group is offered from a pastoral counseling perspective and will help stop problematic sexual behavior.
Groups reduce shame and guilt, increase compassion and understanding, and support behavior management.
Group size is limited and agreed upon norms will ensure emotional safety.
- Examine the relationship between feelings, thoughts, and behaviors;
- Learn about the cycle of compulsivity, the brain, and their own patterns;
- Work with behaviors, accountability, and mindfulness to make changes.
~ The group will meet in a private on-campus location Thursdays, for five sessions, at a time to be determined, beginning in October (skipping reading week.)

Dr. Kenneth M. Maguire is an AASECT certified sex therapist with degrees in psychology, sexuality and theology. He is on staff at Council for Relationships as well as on the faculty at Jefferson University, where he is core faculty in the Department of Couple and Family Therapy. Dr. Maguire has extensive experience in group psychotherapy for overcoming problematic sexual behavior. He is a member of the Episcopal Church and active in a Benedictine community.
