Would you like to learn three simple tools for developing emotional intelligence, resilience, and stress/distress reduction?
The Director of Student Counseling, Nancy Schongalla-Bowman, and PTS Wellness Life Coach Julie Collins will introduce you to three easy and powerful skills for gaining emotional freedom without reliving painful memories. These simple methods can be applied to events or concerns past, present or future, as well as to feeling states like anxiety and depression.
- The Sedona Method for letting go of feelings, even tiredness, lack of focus, and physical pain. Helps peace, hope and love surface naturally.
- HeartMath, a simple, breath and gratitude-based biofeedback approach for resilience, intuitive intelligence, creating new neural pathways, and heart-brain-body synchronization. Goes beyond stress reduction.
- Thought Field Therapy (also known as Emotional Freedom Technique) corrects disruptions in the body’s energy systems. Related to acupuncture, but needles are not used. Helps with performance anxiety, clearing old traumas, and many other kinds of “stuckness.”
The Six-Session Seminar Series will meet in the Prayer-Wellness Room in the basement of Miller Chapel. Timing to be arranged.
Additional coaching possible.
Employees are also welcome. There is no fee but please pre-register in Scheide Hall, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a quick overview of methods that only take minutes to learn and to do as needed. Consistent attendance will make a big difference. Will start in October—let us know your availability.
